David Marx is the author of Ametora, his first book in 2015 which analyzes Japan’s fashion and culture through the lens of American traditional style. It was first published in the US, and then Japan, Taiwan, China, and Korea. His second book Status and Culture, published by Viking Books in 2022, explores why things become popular and how culture changes. David worked as the senior director of PR at Google Asia-Pacific for 13 years. He also has rich experience working with numerous global retail brands.
